Kage Baker's new middle reader, The Hotel Under the Sand has more going for it than a plucky young heroine, an noble ghost, a not-so-fearsome pirate, and a treasure hunt in a mysterious steampunk resort (though those would have been plenty!). We've had the great pleasure (once again) of working with the extremely talented Stephanie Pui-Mun Law.
